I have never thought of myself as creative. I’m more of the logical person. My family teases me about being too obsessed with things being in the right place and clean all the time.
While living in Germany, I was invited to a mother/daughter show. I declined at first, since crafts really weren't my thing. The person who invited me wouldn't take no for an answer and eventually talked me into attending her party. My daughters and I had a great time. I made a beautiful card and was so proud. Who would have thought that I could make something that pretty. Plus, it was so relaxing. I got to thinking.. this is something I could really learn to love. I was right. I was hooked from that moment and wanted to make help others learn that they have a crafty side as well!
After moving back to the states, I kept my business, and I eventually recruited my best friend... my husband, Jason. He gives me great advice, helps me do videos, lets me bounce ideas off him, and of course, he attends all the live events. He also does his own cards! I'm in the process of recording a series of technique videos and he is my "student". I can't wait for "the famous Jason" (as he's called on the OnStage circut) to make his debut! lol
Together, we enjoy teaching new crafters how to make cards, use the products they've never seen before, and get more comfortable with Stampin' Up! products!
